School services at International French School
At IFS we offer a number of services to help make life easier for both pupils and parents. These include a school canteen with healthy meals, an extended hours service, bus transport, a nurse and medical bay.
Canteen
The International French School in Amsterdam has a dedicated area for all children to eat lunch.
Families have two options for lunch:
Prepare lunch boxes for their children to bring from home. Order hot meals from our partner DeliDej on Mondays/Tuesdays/Thursdays/Fridays plus a cold meal on Wednesdays
Delidej is responsible for supplying hot meals and also provides supervisors who look after our pre and primary school children during the lunch break. If you have any questions about registering for the hot meal delivery service, please visit the DeliDej website.
The daily rate for lunch is €2.90, with an annual subscription of €391.50 for Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. The Delidej coordinator will be your contact person for all matters relating to the lunch break (under the supervision of the headmistress).
Afterschool care
Our afterschool childcare service is provided by our Dutch partner KleintjeZuid and is available daily until 7pm. It is available for children aged 2-12, divided into groups according to age. KleintjeZuid’s family-friendly approach has made them the first choice for many families looking for quality childcare. Places are limited and are assigned on a first come, first served basis.
To book a place or for more information, please visit our dedicated page on the KleintjeZuid website or contact their customer service by telephone on +31 (0)6 29584598.
School nurse
Our dedicated school nurse Agathe Pons is responsible for monitoring pupils' health, including health problems or disabilities that may affect schooling or sports activities. She also organises many health and wellbeing initiatives.
