School tuition fees

Below you will find all the necessary information relating to school tuition fees.

Once your application to the school is approved we ask for payment of the first enrolment fee (DPI). This fee is only required for the student's first year at the International French School Amsterdam and confirms their enrolment. The DPI fee must be paid within 7 days of receipt of your approval notice. This fee is non-refundable.

An Annual Registration Fee (DAI) is payable each year, from the second school year of enrolment. This fee is non-refundable.

School grants and bursaries

The International French School of Amsterdam is an AEFE partner school, accredited by the French Ministry of Education. As such, French families registered with the French Consulate in Amsterdam, whose children attend the school, apply for a school grant. If you meet the required conditions, you may receive a grant that covers part of all of the school fees.

Grants are awarded on the basis of means and assets, and apply to French pupils attending accredited schools.
School grant applications submitted by families are examined by a Consular School Grant Council (CCB).

To apply for a school grant, your children must :

  • Be of French nationality
  • Reside in the Netherlands with their family (father and/or mother, legal guardian)
  • Be at least 3 years old in the calendar year of the start of the school year
  • Be registered with the Consulate General of France in Amsterdam
  • Attend a school approved by the French Ministry of Education

First-time applications can only be made by appointment at the Consulate in Amsterdam. Renewals can be made by post (no emails) or via the new Scolaide online system.  More information is also available on the French consulate in Amsterdam website.

Please note the deadline for submitting applications is 5th March 2025.
