AEFE Accreditation
The International French School of Amsterdam is a French educational establishment approved by the French Ministry of Education and part of the AEFE network (Agence pour l'Enseignement Français à l'Etranger). This means that the Ministry of National Education, Youth and Sport (MENJS) certifies and recognises that the school provides an education that complies with the principles, curricula and pedagogical organisation of the French education system.
This accreditation allows pupils to follow the French curriculum abroad, respecting the values and requirements of the French education system. They are open to both French and foreign pupils. As part of the AEFE network, IFS is connected to almost 5,800 French lycées around the world and benefits from privileged access to teaching and staff training services.
